Direct Piling were delighted to be involved in the project recently undertaken at Hanwell Cemetery (London). The project required a piled foundation to be installed to support a section of new boundary wall. Direct Piling immediately appreciated the sensitive nature of this site and were involved in the planning stages of the project. This allowed Direct Piling to identify the best practices and procedures and present these ideas to the main contractor. The foundation comprised of 120 linear meters of foundation supported on 98 300mmØ Hollow stem grout injected piles. The sequence of photos shows the ongoing stages of work and the close proximity of existing graves which were afforded the utmost respect and care throughout the project.
